Knees

How are your knees? Almost two years ago, in the Spring, I fell off my bike but continued to ride. That was the biggest mistake ever! At the time, my adrenaline was running rampant, and I didn't feel a thing! I continued to ride for another 10 miles or so. Three days later, I had a black eye. I say bruises on my knees, but there was no extensive pain. I continued to ride my bike daily. I was selected to take part in a group physical fitness program that lasted for 12 weeks. We partook in physical activities each week. The injured left knee began to swell after my workouts, and it became unbearable. The pain started months after my initial fall. Then there was a series of tests and treatments to stop the swelling. The knees felt tight every day! I took a series of homeopathic shots in the knees every week for five weeks. That didn't help. I went to physical therapy for 18 weeks, which helped with my range of motion, but not the swelling. Then there was the cortisone shot that helped a little. Not for as long as was predicted. Stem cell or Nucel injection, which is legal in the United States. Out of pocket cost $3500. Did it help? No! The body takes care of itself. By ignoring the initial fall caused my body to send antibodies in the form of a fluid (swelling) and scar tissue to protect my joints. The scar tissue that is covering the knee is stopping the medicine from solving the problem. Hence, knee surgery to remove the scar tissue. Currently, in the recovery stage, the swelling has subsided, and physical therapy in progress. All I'm saying is protect your knees and take care of your injuries right away!
